Our History
We are a District Association of The Camping and Caravanning Club
The club is split into 13 Regions and we are the most northerly group of the Chiltern Region.
We welcome all members of the club, no matter which D.A. or specialist group you belong to and look forward to seeing you at our meets.

Originally the Oxfordshire area was covered by the Berks and Oxon D.A.
It was felt that the group was getting too big and covering a too large area and so it split into two groups Oxfordshire D.A. and the Royal County of Berkshire D.A.
In 1969, Oxfordshire D.A. was created - also known as Oxon D.A.
You will see from our pennon, that in 1969, the county of Oxfordshire was somewhat different from the boundaries today - many people who were born in Berkshire, now find their birthplace listed as being in Oxfordshire - as such those areas are now under our county and are Oxfordshire members
Due to these boundary changes we can now claim that the first meet of the Camping and Caravanning Club was held in Oxfordshire (although we have to admit, at the time, Wantage was in Berkshire)
