Rules for Happy Camping

We want everyone to enjoy their time with us here at Oxfordshire D.A.

You have joined The Camping and Caravanning club knowing that rules are in place for our safety and respect for other campers, so please cast your eye over the rules below just a as a reminder of how all Oxfordshire sites will run
(Please click here www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk to access the full rules and regulataions)

The steward of the site must be the first to arrive
Please do not arrive before the advertised start time and do not enter the site before the steward - failure to do so will invalidate our insurance

5MPH Speed Limit
No transport, motor or not, should be moving faster than this at any time while on site (fast walking speed) - this includes bikes, motorised mobility scooters etc as well as cars and motorhomes.
No learner, underage or unlicenced drivers to operate or drive vehicles on site

Units must be a minimum of 6 meters apart.
At most of Oxfordshire D.A.'s meets we do not have marked pitches, but leave you to find a pitch that suits your needs. Please take the 6 metre rule into account when choosing your pitch if the steward does not escort you to a set area.

Fire Buckets
We request that you place a marked fire bucket filled with water outside of your unit incase of emergency

All quiet
We are all here to have a great time, but please remember that other campers have different needs to you - small children, light sleepers etc.
Please consider your fellow campers when listening to radios, music, TV etc - your taste may not be theirs, so please listen at an appropriate volume.
Also consider others regarding noise levels when socialising on site.
The site should be all quiet between the hours of 11pm and 7am, which includes any movement of vehicles.
Please respect others when returning to your units late at night.

Generators
We all have times when our battery just isn't going to last out the meet and a generator will be needed to charge it up again. Please respect your fellow campers when using a generator.
We ask that they are not used before 10am and no later than 7pm and for no more than 2 hours.
We appreciate that sometimes this is not always possible, so please speak to the steward if you need to use it outside of these times.

Water
Every site will have access to clean drinking water - at no time should any part of a chemical toilet or other waste container be brought near this source.
Pets are not allowed at the water point.

Elsan
All toilet waste must be disposed of via the appropriate marked source.

Pets
We encourage you to bring your pets with you, after all, they are part of your family and also enjoy camping, but please remember that they must remain on a lead at all times unless they are within your own unit. (This includes sites that are open to the public who come to exercise their dogs off the lead).
No pets are allowed inside halls or buildings hired by the D.A. They maybe allowed in D.A. marquees etc at the stewards discretion.

Respect the Landowner and neighbours
We want to leave a good impression with those that own or overlook the sites we use. We hope that they will allow us to come back on another occasion, so please respect any restrictions regarding use of parts of the site and cause as little damage to the land with your presence as possible.
Please leave your pitch clean and tidy and take all rubbish home when you leave.
